1. What is included in the prices quoted?
Lots of things are included in the price at the MONDI Resort Oberstaufen. As well as the accommodation, there is a spa area with an indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, infrared cabin, relaxation room and much more. Guests can play billiards, borrow table tennis bats, use the tennis courts and trampoline, play street basketball or relax on one of the many loungers, all at no additional cost. For families, there is childcare for ages four and up, a baby playroom, an 80 square foot indoor play area, a forest adventure playground and another playground next to the restaurant terrace, plus free hire of pushchairs and back carriers. The baby equipment, including changing mats, bottle warmers and cots, is also all available free of charge. On top of this, there is also the Oberstaufen Plus Guest Pass, which allows you to use the mountain railways (including in winter for skiing) and access lots of other attractions in the surrounding area at no extra cost.
2. What are the differences between the accommodation types at the MONDI Resort?
The MONDI Resort Oberstaufen is a park-like complex with a total of ten houses. The accommodation varies in terms of size, location, equipment and comfort levels. The Classic formats are cosy and come at a lower price. The Superior formats have all been recently refurbished and boast modern styling and a warm atmosphere. The Chalet accommodation gives guests a real luxury feel, with lots of wood cladding. All the apartments and suites are suitable for families, especially our tailored family apartments. The studios are perfect for couples.
3. What are the catering arrangements like at the MONDI Resort Oberstaufen?
The catering arrangements at the MONDI Resort Oberstaufen are really flexible. Guests can cater for themselves in their own kitchenettes, which include a refrigerator, an oven and crockery. You can book an apartment with breakfast from our amazing buffet or order a breakfast package for your room. MONDIs Staufen Bar opens at 2 p.m., serving drinks, coffee, cakes and snacks. As of 5 p.m., you can enjoy à la carte cuisine at MONDIs Staufenküche restaurant. It mainly serves specialities from the Allgäu region, but the selection also includes delicious options for vegetarians, vegans and children.
4. Is the MONDI Resort Oberstaufen a typical family and baby hotel?
No, the MONDI Resport Oberstaufen is a very family-friendly hotel with special extras for babies and small children, but it is also perfect for outdoorsy types and those in the prime of life. It is a large complex with plenty of space for everyone. It has facilities, including an indoor play area, swimming pool and childcare, which are geared towards families, but also puts on music evenings, yoga classes and walks which are perfect for adults without children and active senior citizens.
5. What is the location of the MONDI resort like, and how easy is it to get to?
The MONDI Resort Oberstaufen is in a lovely unspoilt natural setting on the edge of Oberstaufen. There are hiking trails and ski slopes right from the doorstep. It is easy to get to by car, and the resort has its own parking spaces and electric vehicle charging stations. Alternatively, you can take the environmentally-friendly option and travel by train and bus. The bus stop is right by the entrance to the resort.
6. Does the MONDI Resort Oberstaufen allow dogs?
Yes, by prior arrangement, dogs are not only allowed in some of the room categories, they are positively encouraged. We will provide a dog blanket and a bowl for €18 a day. You can set off for a walk with your dog straight from the MONDI resort and dogs are also welcome in the bar and on the terrace, so you do not have to leave them alone in the room while you enjoy your breakfast and evening meal. Please stick to the rules for the comfort of all parties.
